Fostering High-Quality Industry Development Through Collective Expertise | CANTOOP Attends the 2nd General Membership Meeting of the 3rd Council of the Shanghai Intellectual Property Services Association
2026-06-25On June 23, 2026, the 2nd General Membership Meeting of the 3rd Council of the Shanghai Intellectual Property Services Association (SIPSA) was successfully held in Shanghai. As a council member of the Association, CANTOOP Intellectual Property Services (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. attended the meeting and actively participated in all agenda items, joining representatives from nearly 300 intellectual property service organizations across the city to discuss industry development and jointly advance the IP service ecosystem.

The meeting brought together distinguished guests including Ms. Wei Lan, Deputy Director-General of the Shanghai Intellectual Property Administration; Mr. Xu Lihe, Director of the Public Services Division and the Intellectual Property Agency Office; representatives from the relevant department of the Shanghai Civil Affairs Bureau; and delegates from member organizations of the Association. The meeting was chaired by Ms. Lou Xianying, Vice President of the Association.
In her keynote address, Deputy Director-General Wei Lan highly commended the Association’s achievements in industry self-regulation, talent cultivation, dispute mediation, policy advocacy, and service innovation. She also called on the Association to further strengthen its role as a bridge between government and enterprises and continue contributing to Shanghai’s development as a leading intellectual property hub.

During the meeting, several important agenda items were completed. Members reviewed and approved the 2025 Annual Work Report, 2025 Supervisory Board Report, and 2025 Financial Report, comprehensively reviewing the Association’s accomplishments in industry exchanges, public-interest assistance, talent development, and member services over the past year. In accordance with the Association’s governance procedures, voting was also conducted on changes to council member organizations and their designated representatives within the 3rd Council.
The meeting additionally featured the signing ceremony for a strategic cooperation initiative on diversified intellectual property dispute resolution. The Association entered into cooperation agreements with the School of Literature and Law of Shanghai Business School and the Intellectual Property Arbitration Institute of the Shanghai Arbitration Commission. Through this partnership, the parties will strengthen collaboration in dispute resolution, joint talent training, and research integrating theory and practice, leveraging complementary resources to promote coordinated development.


A major highlight of the event was the official release of the Shanghai Intellectual Property Service Industry Service Quality Commitment Letter. A total of 87 member organizations, including CANTOOP, became the first signatories to the initiative, jointly committing to uphold industry service standards and promote the standardized, professional, and transparent development of the intellectual property services sector.
Representatives from CANTOOP carefully reviewed the commitment provisions and reaffirmed the company’s dedication to industry self-discipline and service excellence. CANTOOP will continue to adhere to the highest professional standards in delivering comprehensive intellectual property services, including rights acquisition, rights protection, and cross-border IP solutions throughout the entire IP value chain.

The successful conclusion of the meeting has charted a clear course for the next stage of development of Shanghai’s intellectual property services industry. Looking ahead, CANTOOP will continue to align itself with industry trends and uphold its core philosophy of “Sincere Service, Win-Win Cooperation.” By continuously strengthening its full-spectrum IP service capabilities, CANTOOP will work hand in hand with industry partners to build a more standardized, open, and mutually beneficial intellectual property service ecosystem.
