It is worth mentioning that this conference is the first time that AIPPI has been held in China since its establishment 127 years ago, attracting 2,259 registered participants from 92 countries and regions, including more than 1,500 overseas participants, setting a record high in the number of participants and countries and regions held outside Europe. Among the participants were leaders from the world's five major IP offices (the State Intellectual Property Office of China, the European Patent Office, the United States Patent and Trademark Office, the Japan Patent Office and the Korea Intellectual Property Office) and IP government departments from many countries, further highlighting the international influence of the conference.

AIPPI is one of the earliest non-governmental international organizations in the field of intellectual property, and is also the main non-governmental intellectual property advisory body of the United Nations World Intellectual Property Organization. With the approval of the State Council of the People's Republic of China, AIPPI China Chapter was established in 1982 with the secretariat of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade. AIPPI holds the World Intellectual Property Conference every year, which has become one of the most influential international events in the field of intellectual property with the largest number of participants, the widest range of participating countries and regions.
