[Corporate Pulse] Deepening international cooperation: The CANTOOP team went to Mexico for inspection and exchange

2025-05-28

Following the successful conclusion of the International Trademark Association (INTA) Annual Meeting, Yuan Dade, President of CANTOOP IP Service (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "CANTOOP"), and Li Minjie, Director of the International Department, led a team to Mexico City for a three-day in-depth business exchange. The visit focused on the core challenges of intellectual property protection at the U.S.-Mexico border, reached a number of strategic consensuses with a number of local partners and service providers on brand monitoring, customs filing and law enforcement cooperation, and launched a "active + passive, domestic + border" hierarchical service plan to help rights holders cope with the complex market environment.

Combat cross-border infringement with precision: Data-driven dynamic defense

In a special seminar by the Mexican General Administration of Customs, the CANTOOP team conducted an in-depth analysis of the circulation of infringing goods at the border. With the strengthening of law enforcement at traditional ports, the declaration of infringing goods has shown a trend of shifting to Pacific ports. To this end, the two sides jointly developed a "dynamic risk monitoring system" to track the flow of goods in real time through technical means, and predict high-risk transportation routes based on historical case databases. With the help of this system, CANTOOP has recently successfully intercepted multiple batches of infringing goods for a Chinese brand right holder.

Layered services directly hit local pain points

Based on the characteristics of the Mexican market, CANTOOP has launched a four-dimensional protection system:

Active defense: Customized "customs filing + key port inspection" service for high-end brands, equipped with multilingual commissioners to directly connect with law enforcement departments, significantly improving the efficiency of seizure.

Rapid response: Launch efficient evidence collection services for small and medium-sized rights holders, integrate multi-channel monitoring data, and meet the timeliness needs of administrative complaints.

Border joint defense: Set up emergency teams in multiple border cities to implement full-chain interception operations to effectively shorten the disposal cycle.

Judicial Pursuit: Initiate dual-track litigation proceedings against stubborn infringing networks, assisting international brands in making breakthroughs in local judicial practice.

"In Mexico, intellectual property protection is not only a legal issue, but also a deep understanding of the local ecology." President Yuan Dade emphasized, "Our value lies in turning the agreement into a checklist in the hands of customs officials and into actual benefits for the right holders. "With the continuous improvement of CANTOOP's service network in Mexico, its professional capabilities have become a solid backing for companies to expand into the North American market.
