In order to fully implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, strengthen the use of intellectual property rights, expand the national intellectual property pledge financing, promote the effective integration of intellectual property rights and financial resources, improve the environment for the innovation and development of market players, and enhance the quality and efficiency of national economic development, on August 2, 2023, the Nanyang Commercial Bank Intellectual Property Pledge Financing Service Cooperation and Exchange Conference was successfully held in Kane Topology Intellectual Property Service (Shanghai) Co., Ltd.

Mr. Yuan, President of Cairtop, presided over the meeting, and representatives of Nanyang Commercial Bank (NCB), Guo Haorui and Yuan Shuai, together with Wang Jiandong, consultant of the Intellectual Property Investment and Financing Department of Cairn Top, and Li Minjie, Director of the Business Extension Department, attended the exchange meeting.

At the meeting, Mr. Li, the general manager of the business extension department of Cairtop, introduced the basic situation of Cairtop, its main business and the real cases of the company assisting the national law enforcement agencies to crack down on domestic and foreign intellectual property infringement crimes to the two NCB representatives.

Case ShowcaseAs of 2023, more than 20 criminal cases have been successfully selected as the top 10 annual intellectual property protection cases by the Quality Brand Protection Committee (QBPC) of Foreign-Invested Enterprises in China and the provincial public security departments of the Ministry of Public Security, with an average of 1-2 cases selected each year.

After listening to the hearing, NCB representatives Mr. Guo and Mr. Yuan affirmed Cairn Top's business ability to protect intellectual property rights, and gave a brief introduction to NCB: NCB was founded in Hong Kong on December 14, 1949 by Mr. Zhuang Shiping, a patriotic overseas Chinese, and became a wholly-owned subsidiary of China Cinda Asset Management Co., Ltd. in 2016. After more than 70 years, NCB has become a Hong Kong-funded bank with considerable scale and strength, with 35 branches in Hong Kong and 38 branches in the mainland, creating a professional, efficient and convenient financial service platform for our customers.

Mr. Yuan said that the company provides one-stop intellectual property consulting and practical services from various aspects such as right confirmation, right use and rights protection, and the above-mentioned company introduction is only the aspect of intellectual property rights protection, while the intellectual property rights use services include intellectual property pledge financing, intellectual property achievement transformation, patent and trade secret layoutetc. Among them, intellectual property pledge financing refers to a financing method in which an enterprise pledges its legally owned patent rights, trademark rights, and copyrights to a bank as collateral after being evaluated by a professional institution, and obtains a loan from the bank. Intellectual property pledge financing can alleviate the problem of "difficult and expensive financing" for enterprises to a certain extent, and obtain necessary capital supply with "light assets" of intellectual property rights. At present, the pain points of the service content are: because the IP pledge has a strong regionality, it is a preferential financing policy of the local government for small, medium and micro enterprises, and the banks that provide IP pledge services cannot radiate to enterprises across the country to provide cross-provincial and municipal services.

At the end of the meeting, Mr. Wang Jiandong, consultant of the investment and financing department of Cairtopus Company (Mr. Wang has been negotiating on behalf of the Chinese government abroad for many years on investment in major and mega projects abroad), discussed with NCB representatives on letters of credit and current loan services.
