On May 5, the State Intellectual Property Office held a national conference on intellectual property system talents in Beijing. Liao Tao, member of the party group and deputy director of the bureau, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. He stressed that it is necessary to thoroughly study and implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and the spirit of the Central Talent Work Conference, implement the work arrangements of the 2023 Enlarged Meeting of the Party Group of the State Intellectual Property Office of the Communist Party of China and the Meeting of the Directors of the National Intellectual Property Office, and solidly promote the implementation of the "14th Five-Year Plan for Intellectual Property Talents", so as to provide strong support for the steady progress of the intellectual property cause, high-quality development and the construction of an intellectual property power.

The meeting fully affirmed that over the past year, the national intellectual property system has adhered to the principle of party management of talents, resolutely implemented the spirit of the central talent work, coordinated the promotion of new achievements in the work of intellectual property talents, and made arrangements for the key tasks of intellectual property talent work in the next stage. At the meeting, the responsible comrades of the intellectual property offices of Beijing, Shanghai, Jiangsu, Hubei, Guangdong and Xinjiang made typical speeches from the aspects of strengthening the party's management of talents. At the same time, the meeting combined with the central government's ongoing study and implementation of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era theme education and Daxing investigation and research work deployment, and exchanged views on the problems and solutions encountered in the work of intellectual property talents.
